Soft Hard is an experimental, multilingual publication. Its loose, nonlinear structure aims to serve as both a newsletter and a creative playground for cultural workers.

Each issue invites a wide range of professionals from diverse backgrounds — designers, architects, artists, curators, writers, and inde­pendent publishers, among others — to share glimpses of their recent work in response to a given theme.

The second issue contemplates the theme of ‘side,’ reflecting on the complexity of balancing commissioned and self-initiated endeavors. What guides our priorities — purpose, financial security, pleasure, or something else? It also considers what it means to take a side in the current political climate, where we are continually required to orient and reorient ourselves, internally and externally.
